Carl Schneider
Staff Accountant
Carl joined Hawthorne & Co. CPAs as a Staff Accountant in July 2022. He previously worked in corporate accounting and wanted to make the move to public accounting.
Carl says the people here are what made him want to work at Hawthorne & Co. CPAs. After meeting with our Firm President/Owner, Dave, and our Firm Administrator, Kim, he knew this was the place he wanted to work. Now, over a year into his career with us, his coworkers are still his favorite part.
“Everyone here is happy to help and to answer any questions you may have.” he says of the rest of our staff.

If Carl were to give advice to a young professional, it would be to never stop learning.
“The rules of our profession are always changing, and we need to understand how those changes will affect our clients.” he advises.
Carl sets a good example of following his own advice to never stop learning. Not only has he recently made a change in his career from corporate to public accounting, but he is also working towards his goal of earning his CPA certification and licensing.

Outside of work, Carl loves traveling with his wife and taking selfies everywhere they go. He also enjoys riding motorcycles, and, in the summer, he even teaches people how to ride them. He says it is a great feeling to take a group of people that have never even sat on a motorcycle before, and over two days watch them pass the state riding test.
