Alejandra is a recent addition to our Hawthorne & Co. CPAs team, having joined us as a Staff Accountant in September 2020. Hawthorne & Co. CPAs stood out to Alejandra because of the diversity our staff offers and because the size of our firm allows her to meet and interact with everyone. Alejandra says her favorite part of working at Hawthorne & Co. CPAs, so far, is that she is learning a lot from different people.

As a young professional, her advice to others would be to try to learn as much as possible.

“Whenever you have the chance to work on something new or to gain a new skill, look at it as a learning experience.”

Alejandra has found within our firm that there are lots of different backgrounds and experience levels, so there is always a different way of seeing things that she would not have thought about before.

Outside of work, Alejandra enjoys playing board games and video games, although she confessed that she is not very good at video games. She also likes the outdoors and participating in various outdoor activities, including fishing. Alejandra also has a cat, Pulguita (meaning “Little Flea” – Alejandra tried other names, but Pulguita is the one her cat responded to!), that she enjoys spending time with.
