Maggie Ma joined Hawthorne & Co. CPAs in December 2019 as a Staff Accountant. As a recent accounting graduate, Maggie was interested in exploring every aspect of the accounting profession, and she says she chose to work at Hawthorne & Co. CPAs because she felt the wide variety of services our firm offers would allow her to learn more about the industry.

Although the learning experience is a huge benefit for her, Maggie says her favorite part of working at Hawthorne & Co. CPAs is the firm culture and environment. “Everyone that I work with feels like family and friends.” She also says she enjoys the work-life balance and growth opportunities she has here.

In her free time, Maggie enjoys fishing and watching movies. Maggie is actually a nickname inspired by a character from one of her favorite movies, Love and Other Drugs, played by Anne Hathaway.
