James DeZort
James DeZort - Certified Public Accountant, In-Charge Accountant
James joined Hawthorne & Co. CPAs in September 2023 as an In-Charge Accountant. His duties include preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, estates, trusts, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations.
James has previous experience doing consulting work and managing compliance in the area of indirect tax (sales tax, use tax, and gross receipts tax) as well as some experience (in a previous life) processing and underwriting residential mortgage loans.
In his free time, James enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and catching up on his favorite TV shows.

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting, University of Washington – Tacoma
